3000 Maduro

Padron

By Abid Amiri

A box-pressed Nicaraguan maduro with superb construction, dense smoke and a profile that opens on espresso and pepper before settling into creamy sweetness. Lighter in strength than much of the Padron line.

Tasting progression

First third

Espresso, oak and black pepper from the first puffs, with underlying hints of dark chocolate. Excellent construction leads to stable ash, dense smoke and an even burn.

Second third

Salty dark chocolate and leather developed, complementing the opening espresso and spice notes nicely.

Final third

The profile turned mostly creamy and sweet as the spice faded away.

Final Verdict

Superb construction and an impressive flavour profile at a decent price. Also lighter in strength than other cigars from Padron, making it an accessible entry to the line without sacrificing depth.
